We, the children, teachers and parents of The Shri Ram School pledge our solidarity to the cause of -My Right To Breathe, Stop Air Pollution.
‘To breathe we do not only need air and lungs but also freedom’. Yes, we need freedom to breathe in clean air and not the air laden with pollutants.
In the recent past we have just witnessed the hazardous effects of unhealthy air. The worst of all was keeping children inside their homes, taking away their right to go to school, miss academics, and be child-like, which is to play freely and to be able to run around in the open.
Is this the air we want to breathe? Is this what our childhood should suffer from?
NO, so let’s take up an act and fight for our rights. We come together to pledge-“IT IS MY RIGHT TO BREATHE, STOP AIR POLLUTION against the deteriorating air quality by holding a black rose each on 21st November 2017. The colour black symbolises a grim state of things, sadly the state of the air that we breathe.
Black Rose March was part of grand finale by Form II children along with Parents on 21st November as part of their Form Morning.
