A crisp winter morning and the colourful tents were a perfect backdrop for the annual sports day of Junior school.
The excitement was palpable as the children settled down in their house enclosures. The athletes, cheerleaders and the audience were all raring to go.
The day began with the children of Form V marching behind their respective house captains and then taking the Sports Day oath.
The various competitive races saw the athletes of forms II to V giving their best, with their housemates cheering them on. The form races, where all the children of each form participated, were a sight to behold as each child strived to make their house come first. Their dedication and sincerity were admirable.
The awards ceremony was a fitting acknowledgement of the children?s achievements and it was a pleasure to see the sense of pride with which the children ascended the podium.
It was a morning that brought out the best in the children.
